Graduate Program

Combined BS/MS Program for CSM Students

The combined BS/MS program is available to CSM undergraduates that are obtaining degrees in Chemistry, Engineering, and Physics. These degrees are structured so that students can earn a B.S. degree (either Chemistry, Engineering, or Physics) and an M.S. degree (Engineering) in five years. Physics or chemistry students in this program fill in their technical and free electives over their standard four year program with a reduced set of Engineering classes. Engineering students use their technical electives to help them choose and start an area of specialization at the graduate level. The masters degree is based on 30 hours of coursework beyond the baccalaureate degree and does not require a thesis. Students must apply to enter this program in their senior year and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
