Manoja D. Weiss received the B.S.E.E. degree from Grove City College, PA in 1993, the M.S.E.E. degree from Penn State University in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001. Her doctoral research was on high-efficiency
microwave power amplifiers and their linearization. From 2001-2003, she was a Microwave and Antenna Engineer at Phiar Corporation in Boulder, CO, where she designed and built nanometer-scale antennas at THz frequencies. From 2003 to the present, she has been with the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Engineering, within the Electrical Specialty.
She teaches EGGN-386, Fundamentals of Engineering Electromagnetics, and two graduate courses, EGGN-513, Wireless Communication Systems, and EGGN-516, RF and Microwave Engineering. Her research interests include wireless communications in the presence of robot nodes, millimeterwave near-field imaging, and biomedical instrumentation.
